I like to work for music artists and make album covers. This way I can give artists a visual identity that translates their music and gives it an extra layer. This is a small selection of album covers that I made throughout the years. I always try to find a way to show the artist's identity while also staying true to my own visual language.

Sor — East West (2020)
Cover design for single track “East West” by dutch hiphopartist Sor. Created a chrome typography based on the futuristic vibe of the picture and videoclip.

Cover and tracklist for the LOST EP for singer Neema. I went for a futuristic typography with an outstanding color that really brings the picture to life.

Hardheaderz (2019 — 2021)
A selection of cover designs I made for a hiphoplabel from Rotterdam called “Hardheaderz”. I worked for them as a freelancer for several years. They have several artists, all with their own unique sound but still forming a strong collective. I wanted to show this identity through raw and edgy album cover designs, using bold typography and vibrant colors.

Kay Slice — From Back To Back (2021)
This album covers is part of a bigger branding project for Kay Slice’s album “From Back To Back”. The concept of this album is showing two sides of the artist; Ghana and The Netherlands. I started the design by creating a symbol based on original Adinkra symbols from Ghana. It represents going back to your original roots. From this symbol I created a pattern based on african wax prints. By combining these original symbols with graphic elements, I tried to show both sides. I implemented this pattern throughout the design of the whole branding. Here you can see the symbol, album cover and a selection of the single covers.

Maan — Niks Is Heilig (2021)
Cover design and audioteaser for dutch singer Maan’s single “Niks Is Heilig”. Combined the picture with a background with clouds so it looks like she is in actual heaven, which resonates with the title of the song.

Davina Michelle ft. Woodie Smalls — Big Brother (2021)
Cover design for single track “Big Brother” for the Big Brother TV-show by Dutch singer Davina Michelle and Belgian rapper Woodie Smalls. Based on a cover that was already made with the two original portraits next to eachother. I managed to make it more interesting by fusing the portraits into eachother and adding a color gradient to it.

Bente — Liefste, Ken Je Mij (2020)
Cover and logo design for dutch singer Bente’s album “Ken Je Mij”. I was originally asked to only do the album cover design, but through the process I also made her logo which she could use on different media and platforms.
